This roller compactor dry granulator adopts continuous feeding and discharging design, integrating extrusion, crushing and granulating functions to directly convert powder into qualified granules. It is especially ideal for moisture-sensitive, heat-sensitive and easy-to-caking materials. The cantilever-type press roller and horizontal feeding structure ensure simple setup and convenient disassembly. Press roller and feeder are cooled by negative pressure water circulation to avoid overheating and maintain material stability. The separated power zone and working area realize closed production, effectively preventing dust and cross-contamination. All material-contact parts are made of high-quality stainless steel, fully meeting GMP standards. With easy disassembly and cleaning, integrated automatic control, the machine delivers high flexibility, safety and stable performance. It is widely used in pharmaceutical, food, chemical and other industries for tablet compression, capsule filling and granule packaging.
High-Efficiency Roller Compactor Dry Granulator

Introduction
In the fast-paced manufacturing sectors of pharmaceuticals, food processing, and chemicals, the demand for efficient, cost-effective, and contamination-free granulation processes has never been higher. Traditional wet granulation methods, while widely used, often involve solvents, lengthy drying cycles, and high energy consumption—posing challenges for moisture-sensitive, heat-labile, or hygroscopic materials. Our Roller Compactor Dry Granulator addresses these pain points head-on, offering a solvent-free, continuous, and environmentally friendly solution to transform fine powders into uniform, free-flowing granules.
Work principle
The dry granulation process in our roller compactor is a continuous, multi-stage operation that transforms fine powders into uniform granules through physical compression and size reduction:

Material Feeding & Pre-Compaction
Powders are loaded into the feed hopper, either manually or via a vacuum feeder (for contained applications). The screw feeder then transports the material to the compaction zone, where pre-compaction removes air from the powder, ensuring uniform density and preventing uneven compaction.
Roller Compaction
The pre-compacted powder is fed between two counter-rotating rollers, which apply high pressure to compress the powder into a dense, continuous sheet or ribbon. The compaction force (adjustable based on material properties) ensures the powder particles bond together without the use of binders, forming a solid, homogeneous sheet.
Granulation & Sizing
The compacted sheet is then fed into the granulation unit, where rotating blades break it into smaller pieces. These pieces pass through a perforated screen, which controls the final granule size. Oversized particles are recycled back into the granulator for reprocessing, while correctly sized granules proceed to the collection stage.
Collection & Post-Processing
The finished granules are collected in a hopper, ready for downstream processes like tableting, capsule filling, or packaging. For applications requiring additional processing, the granules can be fed directly into a vibrating sifter or mixer.
