Application
The Automatic cartoning machine reliably cartons single or multiple products of various sizes—including medicine bottles, blister packs, pillow bags, tissue boxes, and regularly shaped items—and seals and discharges the cartons.It is widely used for packaging pharmaceuticals, food, cosmetics, daily necessities and industrial products.To meet different customer requirements, product and carton sizes can be changed with simple adjustment.The machine supports both high-volume single-product production and small-batch multi-product producton.
Work principle
This machine adopts a sophisticated transmission system to automatically imitate manual operations, completing a series of processes including carton opening, leaflet folding and picking, product (and leaflet) insertion, minor flap folding, and carton closing and sealing.

When a product is detected by the sensor on the infeed conveyor, the leaflet folder will fold and pick the corresponding leaflet or retrieve a pre-folded one (the leaflet folding mechanism and pre-folded leaflet picking mechanism are both independent). The machine then opens the corresponding carton and transfers it to the loading station, where a pusher pushes the product into the carton. In subsequent stations, the carton undergoes minor flap closing, steel code embossing (optional), and carton insertion sealing (or glue sealing, optional) to finish the cartoning process.

Drive System
The machine consists of a heavy-duty base plate and a chassis structure in line with Wonsen’s traditional design, featuring a robust and compact overall construction. The rear chassis plate provides sufficient strength and rigidity, with the main drive motor and torque overload protector mounted at the bottom (see Figure).In the event of overload, the unit automatically disconnects the main drive motor from the transmission components, protecting machine parts from damage.The main shaft is independently wall-mounted, ensuring smooth transmission, simple structure, and easy assembly and disassembly (see Figure).Power from the main shaft is distributed via chain drive to the indexer, gear drive to the carton closing and sealing mechanism, gear drive to the carton opening mechanism, and chain drive to the leaflet folding unit.The middle plate is suspended at the center of the machine, supported by several drive shafts, support shafts, and four lead screws, allowing forward and backward adjustment to accommodate different carton lengths. A drive chain connects the rear ends of the lead screws to guarantee parallel movement of the middle plate.The infeed conveyor, carton transport chain, leaflet transport chain, and exit conveyor perform intermittent motion under the control of the indexer.The pitch of the carton chain plates and the spacing of the infeed conveyor guards can be adjusted according to carton width.The indexer is connected to both the carton chain sprocket and the infeed conveyor sprocket via two clamping screws on the shaft, enabling stepless adjustment of the timing and phase of the intermittent motion.
